Orchestration of cellular functions requires compartmentalization of specific proteins and lipids into distinct functional domains and their regulation in spatio-temporal manner. To this end, I am studying how do cells build and regulate actively driven contractile platforms using in-vitro reconstitution system. More specifically, I am interested in understanding role of Class I myosins in plasma membrane organization.
